General Terms and Conditions
Open World – eSport Eatery & Bar incl. Lin’s Asia Kitchen
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services, offers, consumption, reservations, and events provided by Open World – eSport Eatery & Bar, owned by Siu-Yin Lin, 1190 Vienna. The gastronomic offering includes food prepared and served under the Lin’s Asia Kitchen brand. Lin’s Asia Kitchen is part of the Open World gastronomic offering and is not an independent contracting party. By entering the premises, using the services, or participating in events, the guest acknowledges these GTC.
2. Services
Open World operates a gastronomy, event, and gaming venue.
The services offered include, in particular:
- Food & Drinks (incl. Lin’s Asia Kitchen)
- Gaming & Entertainment Offerings
- Tournaments, Events & Community Formats
- Corporate Events, Private Parties, and Group Bookings
- PC, Console, and Pinball Reservations
The nature and scope of services are determined by the respective agreement, reservation confirmation, or event description.
3. Prices & Payment
All prices are in Euros and include statutory VAT. The prices displayed in the venue or on the website apply.
Payment is made on-site in cash or via the cashless payment methods offered.
4. Reservations & Cancellations
Reservations are binding.
Reservation fees or minimum spend requirements may be agreed upon for group, PC, event, or special reservations.
In the event of a no-show or late cancellation, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee or compensation for loss of revenue, provided this was communicated in advance.
For corporate and special events, the provisions set out in section 4a of these Terms and Conditions also apply.
4a. Special, Event & PC Reservations
Special reservations, particularly for
- Corporate events
- Group bookings
- exclusive use of areas
- PC, console, or gaming setups
are only valid upon prior confirmation by Open World.
For these reservations,
- Deposits
- Reservation fees
- Minimum spend
may be agreed upon.
In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, we reserve the right to retain all or part of the agreed-upon amounts.
5. Events & Functions
For events and tournaments, the separately published event and participation terms also apply. Open World reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, program, or lineup, or to cancel events for significant reasons (e.g., technical issues, illness, force majeure). No claims for compensation will be accepted.
6. Gaming- & PC-Nutzung
Use of gaming PCs, consoles, pinball machines, and gaming equipment is at your own risk.
- Please follow all staff instructions.
- Tampering with hardware or software is prohibited.
- The person responsible is liable for any damage or loss.
Open World assumes no liability for data loss or devices brought onto the premises.
7. Food, Ingredients & Allergens (Lin’s Asia Küche)
The food offered is prepared under the Lin’s Asia Küche brand. Despite the utmost care, cross-contamination and traces of allergens cannot be ruled out. Detailed allergen information is available on-site or upon request. Individual adjustments (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, allergen-reduced) are made where possible, but without guarantee.
8. Youth Protection & Alcohol Service
Alcoholic beverages are served exclusively in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Vienna Youth Protection Act. A valid photo ID may be requested. Youth protection laws are strictly enforced.
9. Hausordnung
The current Open World house rules apply.
- Staff instructions must be followed.
- Respectful treatment of guests and facilities.
- No liability for personal belongings.
- Property damage will be charged.
In the event of gross misconduct, a ban from the premises may be issued.
10. Liability
Open World is only liable for intent or gross negligence. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is assumed for slight negligence. No liability is assumed for guests' personal belongings.
11. Data Protection
The current privacy policy on the Open World website applies.
12. Place of Jurisdiction & Applicable Law
Austrian law applies exclusively, excluding conflict of law rules. The place of jurisdiction is Vienna, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Final Provisions
Should any individual provision of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
